Maybe you start with a ‘what if’ question.

What if you sold all your stuff?

What if you could live anywhere?

What if instead of renting one house for 12 months, you rented a different house in a different city, every month?

Then it quickly turns to WHY?

I asked myself the same questions.

Why change everything? Everything’s going so great. Right now we have a stable roof over our heads. Right now our photography business is amazingly successful, Leah’s meditation/energy work took off like crazy, and I just got myself a glass office in midtown (and I still have my 1000 sqft shooting studio). So why change everything?

Because we want different.

To be, to do, to live different from how we live now.

It’s strangely that simple. It’s not easy, just simple.

Do you want different?

We want traveling to be more of our life. We want nature to be more of our life. We want to have the time to do the things that really matter to us. I’m not sure we know exactly what all of those things are but right now we have too little time to find out. Life in its current state is too busy, too complicated by obligations that we don’t really want. Traffic, errands, multi-tasking, modern life.

So we’re changing everything.

Selling nearly everything we own. Transitioning our businesses to be more mobile. Choosing to make a life where we can go find out what we really want to do, until the next thing, and the next thing after that.
